Visit to Japan by Mr. Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu, Prime Minister of Romania

- Mr. Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu, Prime Minister of Romania, will visit Japan with his wife at the invitation of the Government of Japan from February 21 (Wed) to 24 (Sat).
- During his stay in Japan, Mr. Tăriceanu and his wife will be received in audience by The Emperor and Empress, and Mr. Tăriceanu will meet with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He will also exchange views with those in Japan's economic circles and others.
- Mr. Tăriceanu's upcoming visit will be the first to Japan by a key official from Romania since it became a member of the EU, and this is also the first visit of a Romanian Prime Minister.
