Visit to Japan by Mr. Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan

  1. His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, will pay an official working visit to Tokyo from December 4 (Tue) to 5 (Wed).
     
  2. During his stay, the President will make a State Call on His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, and also meet with Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda.
     
  3. This is the third visit to Japan by President Rahmon and the first in four years since March 2003.  It is expected that the visit will further strengthen cooperative relations between Japan and Tajikistan.
     
  4. Before visiting Tokyo, President Rahmon will also visit Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, from December 2 (Sun) to 4 (Tue) to attend the 1st Asia-Pacific Water Summit.
