Mr. Katsuhito Asano, Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Visit Ecuador

Mr. Katsuhito Asano, Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit Quito,Ecuador, from January 13 (Sat) to January 16 (Tue).
Mr. Asano will attend, as Japan's Ambassador on Special Mission, the inauguration ceremony of the new President of Ecuador, Mr. Rafael Correa, to be held on January 15. Mr. Correa was elected in the presidential runoff held on November 26 last year. Mr. Asano will also have meetings with leaders of the Government of Ecuador to exchange views on relations between Japan and Ecuador, the two countries' cooperation in the international arena and other matters.
