Visit of H.E. Mr. Manuchehr Mottaki, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to Japan

His Excellency Mr. Manuchehr Mottaki, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will visit Japan from February 27 (Mon) to March 1 (Wed) 2006, upon the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan.
During his stay in Japan, Minister Mottaki will meet with Minister Aso and other dignitaries to discuss issues of mutual interests, such as bilateral relations and recent regional and international developments.
The upcoming visit is expected to further promote the cooperative relationship between Japan and the Islamic Republic of Iran. H. E. Mr. Mottaki served as Iranian Ambassador to Japan from 1995 to 1999.
