Fourth Security-related Officials Meeting between Japan and China

- The fourth Security-related Officials Meeting between Japan and China will be held on July 20 (Wed) and 21 (Thu) in Tokyo (Mita House).
- The Meeting will be attended on the Japanese side by its head, Mr. Shinichi Nishimiya, Deputy Director-General, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and related officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Police Agency, the Ministries of Justice; Finance; Health, Labor and Welfare; Economy, Trade and Industry; and Land, Infrastructure and Transport; and the Japan Coast Guard; and on the Chinese side by its head, Mr. Zhang Li guo, Counsellor, Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and relevant officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Public Security; and the China National Tourism Administration.
- At the Meeting, information on such matters as illegal entry and departure, firearms control and drug control, and mutual investigation assistance, will be exchanged, and views will be exchanged on further cooperation between Japan and China concerning more effective measures to prevent crime and methods to control it.
