Visit to Japan by Honorable Dr. Charles Murigande, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda

- Honorable Dr. Charles Murigande, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda, will visit Japan from July 16 (Sat) to 20 (Wed) as Guest of the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
- During his stay in Japan, Mr. Murigande will meet with Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura and other government leaders to have a wide-ranging exchange of views on such matters as Japan-Rwanda relations, strengthening of cooperative relations between Japan and Africa through the TICAD (Tokyo International Conference on African Development) process, and U.N. Security Council reform.
- It is expected that the forthcoming visit to Japan by Honorable Dr. Murigande, together with the re-opening of the Rwandan Embassy in Japan in last January, will further strengthen friendly and cooperative relations between Japan and Rwanda.
Honorable Dr. Murigande attended TICAD III held in 2003. This will be his second visit to Japan as foreign minister.
