Mr. Keitaro Sato, Ambassador in Charge of Conflict and Refugee-related Issues in Africa, to Visit Africa

- Mr. Keitaro Sato, Ambassador in Charge of Conflict and Refugee-related Issues in Africa, will visit Ethiopia where the African Union (AU) has its headquarters and Uganda from March 7 (Mon) to 11 (Fri).
- On March 7 (Mon) and 8 (Tue), Ambassador Sato, taking the opportunity of the Extraordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, to meet with participating foreign ministers to exchange views on bilateral relations, Japan's policy toward Africa based on the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) process, reform of the U.N. and the Security Council, and other matters.
- Ambassador Sato will also visit Uganda from March 9 (Wed) to 11 (Fri) to exchange views with Ugandan government leaders on the situation in the northern region of the country, bilateral relations, reform of the U.N. Security Council, and other issues.
