Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan to visit Norway

Their Majesties the King and Queen of Norway have extended an invitation to Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan to visit their country.

In view of the friendly relations existing between Japan and Norway, the Government of Japan has advised Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress to pay an official visit to Norway, and their Majesties have accepted the invitation.

Along with Norway, their Majesties the Emperor and Empress will visit Ireland.

The itinerary of the visit will be finalized after consultations with the Government of Norway. Their Majesties are scheduled to leave Tokyo on May 7, 2005, and the duration of the visit will be about a week.
