Visit to Japan of Mr. Gerhard Schroeder, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany

  1. Mr. Gerhard Schroeder, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, accompanied by representatives of German business circle will visit Japan from December 8 (Wed) to 10 (Fri) at the invitation of the Government of Japan.

  2. During his stay in Japan, Chancellor Schroeder will have a summit meeting with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and deliver a speech at an economic symposium.

  3. Chancellor Schroeder's visit to Japan is the first since June 2002 and his fourth as the Federal Chancellor.
