Mr. Ryutaro Hashimoto, Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister, to Visit China

- Mr. Ryutaro Hashimoto, Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister, will visit the People's Republic of China on October 22 (Thu.) and 23 (Fri.).
- During his stay in China, Mr. Hashimoto will attend a reception to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the conclusion of the Japan-China Peace and Friendship Treaty which will be held in the Great Hall of the People on October 22 under the joint auspices of the China-Japan Friendship Association and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries of China. Mr. Hashimoto will also hold talks with Mr. Jiang Zemin, President of the People's Republic of China.
- In addition to Mr. Hashimoto, Mr. Yoshio Sakurauchi, former Speaker of the House of Representatives (President, Association for the Promotion of International Trade, Japan), and Mr. Tomiichi Murayama, former Prime Minister, have also been invited from Japan to attend the reception.
