Japan welcomes the release of the Report of the Commission of National Inquiry on the events of February 7, 2012 that resulted in the transfer of power in the Maldives.
The Government of Japan hopes that, following the release of the Report, all stakeholders in the Maldives will continue to work together towards stability and prosperity of Maldives and promote democracy, human rights and the rule of law.
