Japan welcomes the inauguration of the new Federal Parliament with the election of a large majority of Members of Parliament on Monday, August 20, with the end of the transitional period of the Transitional Federal “Government”.
Japan strongly hopes that the rest of the process, from election of President, Speaker, Deputy Speakers and the remaining Members of Parliament will be completed in a peaceful and transparent manner without any further delay.
