Japan welcomes the adoption of the UN Security Council Resolution on the situation in Sudan and South Sudan on Thursday, May 3 (Wednesday, May 2 EST).
Japan calls on both governments of Sudan and South Sudan to commence talks between the two countries immediately and to resolve all issues between the two countries through negotiations in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolution.
