Statement by the Press Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, on the agreement on the formation of a new government in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Japan welcomes the agreement reached on December 28, 2011, among the political leaders of Bosnia and Herzegovina to form a new Council of Ministers. We expect that the Council of Ministers will be quickly inaugurated in line with this agreement.
Japan believes that the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina is an essential element to peace and stability of the Western Balkans. We expect that the new Council of Ministers, together with the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will play a constructive role in this context.
