- On Tuesday, August 30, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) will hold the 3rd Joint Committee of the Japan-Viet Nam Cooperation in Science and Technology.
- The Committee will be attended by Makoto Yamanaka, Ambassador in charge of Science and Technology Cooperation, who will serve as the chairman of the meeting; as well as representatives from MOFA; the Cabinet Office; the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT); the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF); the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC); the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI); and other agencies of Japan. Vietnamese attendees will include Mr. Tran Viet Thanh, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Science and Technology, and other delegates from his ministry.
- This Committee creates an opportunity for Viet Nam and Japan to exchange information on recent important developments regarding science and technology policies, to confirm current mutual cooperation initiatives in the field, and to discuss the enhancement of said cooperation.
