Attendance by Foreign Minister Matsumoto at the ASEAN-related Foreign Ministers' Meetings

- From Wednesday, July 20 to Saturday July 23, Minister for Foreign Affairs Takeaki Matsumoto will visit Bali, Indonesia to attend a number of ASEAN-related Foreign Ministers' Meetings: the ASEAN+3 Foreign Ministers' Meeting, the ASEAN-Japan Foreign Ministers' Meeting, the Mekong-Japan Foreign Ministers' Meeting, the East Asia Summit (EAS) Foreign Ministers' Consultation, the Friends of the Lower Mekong Ministerial Meeting and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting.
These events will focus on the way of regional cooperation concerning ASEAN and discussion of regional and international issues. Foreign Minister Matsumoto intends to assertively express Japan's beliefs and confirm our cooperation with the participating countries. - There are also some bilateral meetings planned with Australia and with the Republic of Korea (ROK), and a trilateral meeting with the Foreign Ministers of the United States and the ROK.
