Relief Supply from Romania

- In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, the relief supply from Romania arrived at Narita Airport on Tuesday, June 28.
- The relief supply from Romania consists of 15,360 two-litre bottles of mineral water, which will be sent to the affected areas in cooperation with the World Food Programme.
- From Romania, letters of sympathy and condolences were sent from H.E. Mr. Traian Basescu, President, H.E. Mr. Emil Boc, Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Mircea Geoana, President of the Senate, H.E. Mme. Roberta Alma Anastase, President of the Chamber of Deputies, H.E. Mr. Teodor Baconschi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and many others.
- The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the sense of solidarity expressed and generous assistance extended by the Government of Romania and its people.
