  1. On Friday, June 24, it was decided at the 35th Session of the World Heritage Committee held in Paris that the Ogasawara Islands nominated by Japan would be inscribed on the World Heritage List. Japan truly welcomes the decision.

  2. Japan expects that this decision will create a momentum for making the rich and scenic nature of the Ogasawara Islands widely known to the world.

  3. Japan will continue its efforts to protect its natural assets including the Ogasawara Islands and to further inform the world about their attractions.
