Acceptance of Relief Supplies from Tunisia

  1. In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, a flight loaded with 60,000 cans of tuna arrived at Narita International Airport on May 16, as assistance from the Government of the Republic of Tunisia. The canned tuna will be delivered to Miyagi Prefecture.

  2. From the Government of the Republic of Tunisia, Interim President Fouad Mbazaa, Prime Minister Beji Caid Essebsi and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Mouldi Kefi, expressed their condolences and sympathies. In April, a Solidarity Mission was sent to Ishinomaki City by the initiative of the Embassy of Tunisia in Tokyo to deliver relief supplies and prepare meals outdoors.

  3. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the cooperation of the Government of the Republic of Tunisia.
