Acceptance of Emergency Relief Supplies from the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) (Arrival of the Third Dispatch)

- In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, the relief supplies offered from the Government of the HKSAR arrived on the morning of Wednesday, April 20, 2011 (*).
- This assistance forms a part of the total assistance of 5 million HK dollars which the Government of the HKSAR has expressed. The third dispatch of relief supplies, which consists of 30,000 pairs of socks, will be sent to Miyagi Prefecture , following the first dispatch (approximately 20,000 cans of food) on Saturday, April 9 and the second dispatch (approximately 10,000 cans of food) on Tuesday, April 19.
- The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the cooperation of the Government of the HKSAR.
*The flight (CX006) loaded with the relief supplies arrived at Narita Airport at 06:05 on Wednesday, April 20.
