Acceptance of Emergency Relief Supplies from the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) (Arrival of the Third Dispatch)

In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, the relief supplies offered from the Government of the HKSAR arrived on the morning of Wednesday, April 20, 2011 (*).
This assistance forms a part of the total assistance of 5 million HK dollars which the Government of the HKSAR has expressed. The third dispatch of relief supplies, which consists of 30,000 pairs of socks, will be sent to Miyagi Prefecture , following the first dispatch (approximately 20,000 cans of food) on Saturday, April 9 and the second dispatch (approximately 10,000 cans of food) on Tuesday, April 19.
The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the cooperation of the Government of the HKSAR.

*The flight (CX006) loaded with the relief supplies arrived at Narita Airport at 06:05 on Wednesday, April 20.
