- On Thursday, November 24, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted and announced the results of a public comment (carried out from Friday, September 30 to Monday, October 31) regarding the modality of the Central Authority for the implementation of the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction on the result page for public comments within the Government's "e-Gov" web portal.
- The valuable opinions received from Japan and abroad through this survey were reported to the Fourth Meeting of the Round Table on the Modality of the Central Authority for the Implementation of the Hague Convention held on Tuesday, November 22, and then discussed (URL: http://www.mofa.go.jp/mofaj/gaiko/hague/index.html *Only Japanese version available). Based on the opinions received and the discussion of the Meeting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to move forward with efforts to draft domestic legislation pertaining to the aspects related to the functions of the Central Authority in charge of the Hague Convention.
