- On October 11, the US Attorney General and the Director of the FBI, and others announced charges of a plot to assassinate the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the United States by Mansour Arbabsiar, who is a U.S. resident, and Ali Gholam Shakuri, a member of the Qud’s Force of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
- Japan takes the U.S.’s announcement with grave concern. If proven, it is to be a serious issue and the Government of Japan will find it deeply regrettable.
