Emergency Grant Aid for the Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Affected by the Armed Clashes in the Southern Part of the Kyrgyz Republic

  1. On June 17, the Government of Japan decided to provide emergency grant aid of up to 500,000 dollars (about 47,000,000 yen) for the people affected by the armed clashes in the southern part of the Kyrgyz Republic.

  2. The Government of Japan will immediately implement this assistance in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
