The Ministers’ Urgent Call for Unity of the State Parties in the 2010 NPT Review Conference

On May 27 (Thu), Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, released the Ministers’ Urgent Call for Unity of the State Parties in the 2010 NPT Review Conference along with Ministers from countries that support the vision of “a world without nuclear weapons”: Stephen Smith, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, Michael Spindelegger, Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria, Guido Westerwelle, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, Georgina te Heuheu, Minister for Disarmament and Arms Control of New Zealand, and Yu Myung-hwan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea. The Ministers’ Urgent Call makes the appeal for unity in the international community and was released to contribute to creating a forward looking  agreement at the 2010 NPT Review Conference.
