The Establishment of the “NGO Advisory Group on the State of International Cooperation by Japan” (Proposal)

- In order to hear opinions and proposals regarding the state of international cooperation by Japan from actual sites in which such cooperation is taking place, it has been decided that the “NGO Advisory Group on the State of International Cooperation by Japan” will be established under the leadership of Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs.
- With a priority on knowledge and experience regarding international cooperation, six officials from NGOs in Japan (referenced below) have been individually selected by Minister Okada to participate in the Group as regular members. (Additional members are may participate depending on the theme).
- During the first meeting on May 25, opinions and propositions regarding reviews of ODAs will be heard.
- In the future, Meetings will be held about once every two months and broad exchanges of opinions on a variety of themes regarding international cooperation are scheduled to be conducted.
