Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a message relating his heartfelt condolence at the demise of Mr. Umaru Yar'Adua, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on May 5 (Wed) and honoring the former president’s contributions to the development of Japan-Nigeria relations to Mr. Goodluck Jonathan, Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigera.
Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, sent a similar message to Mr. Odein Ajumogobia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria.
