- Along with the return of President Manuel Zelaya to the Republic of
Honduras, the Government of Japan calls on all concerned to ensure the life
and physical integrity of President Zelaya while avoiding any actions that
include or induce violence, and to pursue a peaceful solution of the situation
through dialogue.
- Japan reiterates its condemnation against the coup d'etat in Honduras, and strongly expects that initiatives taken by the international community, including the United Nations and the Organization of American States (OAS) will be successful in leading all the concerned parties to accept a solution based on the San Jose Accord as swiftly as possible.
