- The Government of Japan welcomes the confirmation by the U.S. Senate
of Mr. John Victor Roos as U.S. Ambassador to Japan.
- Mr. Roos has the confidence of President Barack Obama, and has made clear his position to further strengthen the Japan-U.S. alliance. The Government of Japan will work closely together with Mr. Roos to address not only bilateral issues, but also issues facing the Asia-Pacific region and global issues. The two parties will make efforts for the multi-layered development of the Japan-U.S. alliance.
