  1. The Government of Japan congratulates El Salvador on the democratic and peaceful implementation of the presidential election on March 15 (Sun).
     
  2. Japan hopes that under the government of the winner of the election, Mr. Carlos Mauricio Funes, El Salvador will enjoy further development and that El Salvador and Japan will further promote their friendly and cooperative relations.
