- The Government of Japan welcomes the formation of an Inclusive Government
in Zimbabwe on February 13 (Fri) in accordance with the agreement between
the ruling and opposition parties. The Government of Japan highly appreciates
the efforts made by all concerned parties.
- The Government of Japan strongly urges the Zimbabwean Government to stabilize the situation, to promote democratization, and to immediately improve the humanitarian situation in the country.

The Government of Japan has been implementing various kinds of assistances to Zimbabwe from a humanitarian point of view, such as food assistance through WFP and emergency grant aid to tackle the cholera outbreak through UNICEF.
