Joint Press Statement on the Occasion of the First Joint Committee on the Agreement between Japan and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam for an Economic Partnership

On October 1 (Thu), the Agreement between Japan and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam for an Economic Partnership entered into force, and the First Joint Committee Meeting on the Agreement was held at Iikura House in Tokyo. This Joint Committee Meeting was attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Masayuki Naoshima, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Mr. Naoki Minezaki, Senior Vice Minister of Finance, and Mr. Akira Gunji, Senior Vice-Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and on the Viet Nam side by Mr. Vu Huy Hoang, Minister of Industry and Trade. A Joint Press Statement was issued. (See attached)
