The 9th Japan-South Africa Partnership Forum

- On January 26 (Mon) and 27 (Tue), the 9th Japan-South Africa Partnership
Forum was held in Tokyo.
- In this Forum, in which H.E. Ms. Seiko Hashimoto, State Secretary for
Foreign Affairs of Japan, and H. E. Ms. Fatima Nagdee Hajaig, Deputy Minister
of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Africa, served as chief delegates,
sessions concerning politics, development cooperation, and sport and culture
as well as the 1st meeting of the Joint Trade Committee were held. Concerned
ministries and governmental organizations including the foreign ministries
of Japan and South Africa participated in the Forum, and confirmed the constructive
cooperation between the two countries in various fields. (Joint Press

- Both countries will continue to hold the Partnership Forum to work together for the peace and prosperity of Africa and the international community by further strengthening the bilateral relations.
