Statement by the Press Secretary/ Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the recall referendum in the Republic of Bolivia

Japan congratulates Bolivia on the peaceful conduct of the recall referendum on the President, Vice President, and Prefects of all the departments, held on August 10 in the country.
Japan places importance on Bolivia’s democratic and stable development and strongly hopes that all the parties concerned will seek to resolve issues through dialogue in conformity with democracy.
