Launching of the Website of Japan Creative Centre (JCC) in Singapore

At the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in Singapore on July 22, Mr. Masahiko Koumura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, informed Mr. George Yeo, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, that the website of the Japan Creative Centre (JCC) (http://www.sg.emb-japan.go.jp/JCC) has been launched, and both ministers welcomed it.
At the Japan-Singapore Summit held in November last year, it was agreed that both sides would cooperate to establish the JCC quickly, as a base to send out to Asia information on Japan, mainly its culture and its attractions.
While the official opening of the Centre is aimed by the end of next year, some relevant events will be organized as a prelude, based on the theme of “innovation and tradition” following the launching of the website in advance of the opening.
