Defense Attache, the Embassy of Japan in Viet Nam Appointed Concurrently as Defense Attache, the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia

- On June 20 (Fri), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed a defense
attache, the Embassy of Japan in Viet Nam concurrently as defense attache,
the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia.
- This appointment is in response to a request from the Government of
Cambodia to activate bilateral defense exchange, and it was officially announced
by Mr. Masahiko Koumura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Gen. Tea Banh,
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Cambodia, at the
bilateral meeting held during his visit to Japan in March this year.
- This appointment is expected to further widen the scope of exchange between Japan and Cambodia.
