Kidnapping of a Japanese national in Iran (Mr. Satoshi Nakamura arrived at Tehran and was handed over to the Japanese Embassy.)

- In the afternoon of June 15 (Japan time: night on the same day), Mr.
Satoshi Nakamura, a kidnapping victim, was taken to Tehran, escorted by
officials of the Government of Iran. Afterwards, around 2:50 p.m.
on the same day (Japan time: 7:20 p.m. of the same day), Mr. Nakamura was
handed over safely to the staff of the Embassy of Japan in Iran.
- Mr. Nakamura’s health condition is now being checked at the Embassy.
- Mr. Nakamura is unharmed and in good health although he shows signs
of fatigue.
- Considering his condition, Mr. Nakamura plans to return to Japan as soon as possible after taking a short rest.
