G8 Summit PR Film “Summit and Japan” Uploaded on Website

On May 13, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs uploaded a PR film entitled “Summit and Japan” on the official website for the G8 summit (http://www.mofa.go.jp/mofaj/gaiko/summit/toyako08/index.html), for English, (http://www.mofa.go.jp/policy/economy/summit/2008/index.html) to inform people widely of the meaning and the theme of the G8 summit.
Including the post-G8 summit PR activities, six films will be produced and uploaded in sequence. Currently, a preview “G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit to be Held Soon” is being uploaded on the Japanese website.
The film “Summit and Japan” is focused on the broad trend of the G8 summits held in the past including the four summits held in Japan. It also introduces concisely how each G8 summit has tackled the global issues of its time.
The film with English subtitle will be uploaded in due course, except for a preview.
