Second Meeting of the Advisory Council on International Cooperation
May 9, 2007
- The second meeting of the Advisory Council on International Cooperation was held on May 9 (Wed) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tokyo (International Conference Room 893).
- The meeting was attended by the members of the Advisory Council on International Cooperation, including Dr. Toshio Watanabe, President of Takushoku University.
- At the meeting, there was a discussion on the Business Sector’s Basic View on the International Cooperation Policy.
- The following two members, who were newly
appointed from NGOs, attended the meeting from this time:
-Mr. Michiya Kumaoka, Vice Chairperson of Japan NGO Center for International Cooperation (JANIC)
-Mr. Hiroshi Kanda, Advocacy Coordinator of Kansai NGO Council
Note: At the time of the first meeting, members from NGOs were still being selected by the NGO community.
