Dinner hosted by Mr. Osamu Uno, Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, for Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, Special Advisor to U.N. Secretary-General

On October 26 (Fri), Mr. Osamu Uno, Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, hosted a dinner for Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, Special Advisor to U.N. Secretary-General, during his visit to Japan. The meeting began at 18:45 and lasted for about an hour and a half.
Prof. Gambari expressed his gratitude towards the cooperation of the Government of Japan and recounted his visits to other Asian countries. Vice-Minister Uno emphasized the importance for the international community to deliver a united message towards the Government of Myanmar. The Vice-Minister also ensured Prof. Gambari of the Government of Japan’s full support towards the good offices efforts of the United Nations Secretary-General, and exchanged views on the situation in Myanmar with Prof. Gambari.
