Statement by the Press Secretary/Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations with Montenegro

The Exchange of Notes to establish diplomatic relations between Japan and the Republic of Montenegro took place on Monday, July 24 in Podgorica, Montenegro, between Mr. Tadashi Nagai, Japanese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and Mr. Miodrag Vlahovic, Montenegrin Minister of Foreign Affairs.
With this E/N, diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on the same day. (The Notes were signed on the Japanese side by Mr. Taro Aso, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and on the Montenegrin side by Mr. Miodrag Vlahovic, Minister of Foreign Affairs.)
