On the Relations with the New Government of the Central African Republic

  1. A military coup d'état occurred on March 15, 2003 in the Central African Republic, and in May 2005 a new administration came into being under President François BOZIZE after a democratization process.
  2. Japan has been carefully watching the developments of the situation in the Central African Republic, and has decided to have the Embassy of Japan in Cameroon, which concurrently covers the Central African Republic, inform by a note verbale of 12th July the Foreign Ministry of the Central African Republic that Japan intends to continue its friendly relations with the Central African Republic.
