GUESTS AND NATIONAL / SPECIAL DAYS
OF THE 2005 WORLD EXPOSITION, AICHI, JAPAN

  1. The following guests and national/special day events are expected during the period 25 June - 1 July in connection with the 2005 World Exposition, Aichi, Japan:

    (1) H.E. Mr. Koichiro Matsuura, Director-General of UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, will visit Japan from 26 June to 3 July, to attend the Special Day event on 27 June at the Expo site.

    (2) H.E. Mr. Hassan Farah MIGUIL, Minister of Youth, Sports, Leisure and Tourism of the Republic of Djibouti, and his spouse, will visit Japan from 26 June for several days, to attend the National Day event on 28 June at the Expo site.

    (3) H.E. Ms. Jacqueline FARIA Pineda, Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, will visit Japan from 28 June to 2 July, to attend the National Day event on 29 June at the Expo site.

    (4) H.E. Mr. Alan John Kwadwo KYEREMATEN, Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Ghana, will visit Japan from 29 June to 6 July, to attend the National Day event on 30 June at the Expo site.

    (5) H.R.H. Lala SALMA, Princess of the Kingdom of Morocco, will visit Japan from 30 June for several days, to attend the National Day event on 1 July at the Expo site.

  2. The Government of Japan is pleased to welcome the dignitaries who will visit Japan as Guests of the 2005 World Exposition, Aichi, Japan, to attend their own national days to be held at the Expo site.

NOTE:

(1) "The 2005 World Exposition, Aichi, Japan" is being held for the period 25 March - 25 September under the theme "Nature's Wisdom".

(2) 121 countries and 4 international organizations participating in the World Exposition are scheduled to hold a NATIONAL DAY (for countries) or a SPECIAL DAY (for international organizations) event to celebrate their participation either at the EXPO Dome or the EXPO Hall at the EXPO site.
