GUESTS AND NATIONAL / SPECIAL DAYS OF THE 2005 WORLD EXPOSITION, AICHI, JAPAN
2 to 8 April

  1. The following guests and national day events are expected during the period 2 - 8 April in connection with the 2005 World Exposition, Aichi, Japan:

    (1) H.E. Mr. Modou Fada DIAGNE, Minister of Environment and Natural Protection, Republic of Senegal, will visit Japan from 7 to 10 April, to attend the National Day Event on 8 April at the Expo site.

    (2) Mr. SAIF EL-ISLAM MUAMMAR AL QUDHAFI, President Gaddafi International Foundation for Charity Association, Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, will visit Japan from 3 to10 April, to attend the National Day Event on 7 April at the Expo site.

    (3) Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée of the Kingdom of Sweden will visit Japan from 5 to 11 April, to attend the National Day Event on 6 April at the Expo site.

    (4) The Honourable Raymond Cheuk Yu Chan, P.C., M.P., Minister of State (Multiculturalism), Canada, will visit Japan from 3 to 8 April, to attend the National Day Event on 5 April at the Expo site.

  2. The Government of Japan is pleased to welcome the dignitaries who will visit Japan as Guests of the 2005 World Exposition, Aichi, Japan, to attend their own national/Special days to be held at the Expo site.

NOTE:

(1) "The 2005 World Exposition, Aichi, Japan" is being held for the period 25 March - 25 September under the theme "Nature's Wisdom".

(2) 121 countries and 4 international organizations participating in the World Exposition are scheduled to hold a NATIONAL DAY (for countries) or a SPECIAL DAY (for international organizations) event to celebrate their participation either at the EXPO Dome or the EXPO Hall at the EXPO site.
