- I am outraged by the simultaneous bombing attacks that took place on the night of May 16 local time (Japan time: May 17) in Casablanca and victimized a large number of civilians. I extend my sincere condolences to the victims who were killed in these attacks and their bereaved families and pray for the quick recovery of the injured.
- Japan firmly condemns terrorist attacks, which kill and injure innocent people, and intends to cooperate with the international community to stamp out terrorism.
- The Government of Japan intends to exert its utmost efforts to ensure the safety of Japanese nationals residing in or visiting the country.
