Exchanges of Notes concerning the Contribution of Supplies and Services to the Armed Forces or Other Similar Entities of Canada and Greece

- The Signings and Exchanges of Notes concerning the Contribution of Supplies and Services to the Armed Forces or Other Similar Entities of Canada and Greece in accordance with the Anti-Terrorism Special Measures Law took place on March 28 (Fri) in Tokyo between Ms. Yoriko Kawaguchi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Mr. Robert G. Wright, Ambassador of Canada to Japan, and Mr. Kyriakos Rodoussakis, Ambassador of Greece to Japan, respectively.
- In extending assistance to Canada and Greece under the Anti-Terrorism Special Measures Law, these Notes are exchanged to guarantee, in relation to the Three Principles on Arms Exports and other policy guidelines, that the supplies and services to these countries will be utilized consistently with the Charter of the United Nations and that they will not be transferred to third parties without the prior consent of the Government of Japan.
