Grant Assistance for the Peaceful Solution of the East Timor Issue

- The Government of Japan decided to provide 10.11 million US dollars in total to the United Nations, including emergency grant assistance of 6.11 million US dollars, in order to facilitate the smooth implementation of the direct ballot of the East Timorese.
- The Government of Japan hopes this assistance will contribute to the peaceful solution of the East Timor issue.
